Islamabad (Web Desk) The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a new advisory to protect users from cyber fraud and improve digital security.
In the advisory, users have been instructed to use strong and unique passwords for their online accounts and adopt safe digital practices.
According to PTA, citizens should enable two-factor authentication for better digital protection and avoid using the same password for multiple accounts.
The statement said that short or simple passwords can increase cyber risks; therefore, personal information such as names, dates of birth, or easy number combinations should not be used as passwords.
PTA further advised users not to share their passwords with anyone and to change them regularly.
According to the authority, biometric features such as fingerprint and facial recognition can further enhance digital security. PTA added that strong passwords are essential for a secure digital future and urged citizens to fully follow these guidelines.
