Washington (Monitoring Desk) A significant change has been observed in the views of the American public regarding Israel following the ongoing war in Gaza. According to a new survey, a growing number of Americans now hold less favorable opinions of the Israeli people and the Israeli government compared to the past, while there has been no major change in overall American views toward Palestinians.
According to the survey data, 52 percent of Americans currently have a positive opinion of the Israeli people, compared to 67 percent in 2022. This indicates a clear decline in public support for Israel over the past few years.
The report stated that a majority of Americans hold negative views of the Israeli government, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, while the negative perception of the Israeli government has increased the most in recent years.
According to the survey, this shift in opinion is more noticeable among younger Americans. Among people under the age of 30, 58 percent have a positive view of Palestinians, while only 32 percent have a positive opinion of the Israeli people.
The figures show that younger Democratic voters have greater sympathy for Palestinians. According to the survey, 72 percent of young Democrats hold positive views of Palestinians, while only 26 percent express positive opinions about Israelis.
