Rome (Web Desk) Renowned sports car manufacturer Ferrari has unveiled the first fully electric vehicle in its history, named “Luce.” In Italian, “Luce” means “light.”
The company has taken this significant step at a time when several automakers around the world are reassessing their strategies due to a slowdown in demand for electric vehicles.
This four-door model is being described as Ferrari’s first five-seater vehicle. The design also includes collaboration with renowned designer Jony Ive and his creative firm LoveFrom.
Unlike traditional Ferrari sports cars, the “Luce” has been designed with a more spacious layout and extensive use of glass. The interior features leather, glass, and specially crafted metal, while traditional buttons have been retained alongside modern touchscreen systems to preserve a classic driving experience.
In terms of performance, the vehicle is extremely powerful. Weighing approximately 2.2 tons, the model is equipped with four electric motors, with a separate motor for each wheel. Together, these motors generate more than 1,000 horsepower.
According to the company, the vehicle has a top speed of over 310 kilometers per hour and can travel more than 500 kilometers on a full charge.
Interestingly, despite being fully electric, Ferrari has incorporated a system that recreates engine-like vibrations and sensations inside the cabin to maintain its traditional driving identity.
With a luggage capacity of 600 liters and equipped with advanced technology, the luxury vehicle has been priced at approximately €550,000, which is equivalent to around US$640,000.
According to Ferrari Chief Executive Officer Benedetto Vigna, the project is the result of five years of continuous effort, while deliveries of the vehicle are expected to begin in the final quarter of 2026.
