Karachi (Showbiz Desk): Actress Hira Khan has responded to Saba Faisal’s statement about divorce, saying that it is better for parents to bow their heads than to carry their children’s funeral biers.
In an Instagram Story, Hira Khan said that she had made this point before and was saying it again: Saba Faisal needs help.
Meanwhile, actress Zoya Nasir also commented on social media, saying that she had a lot to say and that this was an extremely dangerous and complicated narrative.
It may be recalled that the reactions from both actresses came after Saba Faisal posted a video in which she discussed changing social attitudes toward divorce.
Saba Faisal had said that in the past, divorce was considered an extremely painful event for the entire family, and when a daughter’s marriage ended, even her father would feel ashamed and be unable to face people.
According to the actress, divorce is now considered more ordinary in some circles than it was in the past, after which a debate began on social media about marriage, divorce, family expectations, and changing social attitudes.
