Sikandar Raza Becomes First Player to Score T20I Century at 40

Lahore (Sports Desk): Zimbabwe captain and the world's No. 1 T20 all-rounder Sikandar Raza has made history by smashing a brilliant century against Afghanistan at the age of 40. However, his outstanding innings could not secure victory for his team.

In the second match of the three-game T20 series, played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday, Sikandar Raza scored an unbeaten 106 off just 56 balls. His innings included 9 sixes and 5 fours.

With this performance, he became the first player in the world to score a T20 International century after turning 40. The previous record belonged to a batter from Gibraltar, who had scored a century against Bulgaria at the age of 39 years and 272 days.

Through his remarkable performance, Sikandar Raza demonstrated that age is just a number in cricket and that hard work and talent can help players set new records at any stage of life.
