Action Ordered Against Petrol Pumps Failing to Pass on Relief to Consumers

ISLAMABAD (Pakistan News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered action against petrol pumps that are not passing on relief to consumers on petroleum products.

Addressing a federal cabinet meeting, the prime minister said complaints had been received that some petrol pumps were failing to provide the promised relief to customers. He directed the petroleum minister to take strict action against such outlets.

Shehbaz Sharif said petrol prices were expected to increase by Rs15 on Friday, but the increase was avoided due to timely government decisions.

The prime minister said the era of the LPG mafia had come to an end and that the government would import LPG to provide relief to the public.

He further said that the government’s first, second and third priorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were all the establishment of law and order. He added that a Rs160 billion package for the province had been finalised.
