ISLAMABAD (Pakistan News): The government has decided to expand the scope of intelligence-based operations to combat terrorism across the country.
A meeting on national and internal security was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi gave a detailed briefing on measures taken in various sectors.
The meeting reviewed the law and order situation in 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the performance of the ARDC to date was also discussed.
The prime minister directed federal and provincial governments, as well as law enforcement agencies, to make coordination and mutual cooperation more effective.
The meeting also reviewed progress on the implementation of the federal government’s Rs160 billion development package for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
