Kabul (Monitoring Desk) — Former Afghan parliament member Baktash Siyawash has raised questions over the future of the Taliban government and predicted its eventual collapse.
In an interview with Afghanistan International, Baktash Siyawash strongly criticized the Taliban, saying that they have no connection with Islam and are damaging the image of the religion.
He alleged that the Taliban’s objective is to present Islam to the world as a strict system against women’s rights, modern education, arts, and humanity.
The former lawmaker said that the Taliban’s policies have exposed their reality at the international level, while the Afghan people are no longer willing to accept further oppression.
He added that ongoing resistance activities and operations by armed groups in Afghanistan indicate that a significant section of Afghan society has rejected the Taliban government.
