New York (Web Desk): Billionaire businessman Elon Musk, associated with Tesla and SpaceX, has said that he had been considering the potential risks of artificial intelligence and concerns about its safety several years ago. In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Elon Musk said he had contributed to Nick Bostrom’s 2014 book “Superintelligence,” while the author also included his name in the book’s preface. According to Elon Musk, he had been considering the issue of artificial intelligence safety even before 2014. He also referred to one of his posts from around 12 years ago, in which he advised people to read Bostrom’s book and urged them to be extremely cautious about artificial intelligence. At the time, he described artificial intelligence as potentially more dangerous than nuclear weapons. Elon Musk’s statement comes at a time when Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has called for limiting the rapid development of advanced artificial intelligence models and increasing safety measures.
