Federal Government Presents Relief-Based Budget, Emphasis on Economic Stability and Tax Reforms

Islamabad (Pakistan News): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said that despite difficult economic conditions, the government has presented a relief-oriented budget and ensured that the burden of non-taxpayers has not been shifted onto taxpayers.

Speaking at a press conference alongside Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, he said the government took tough decisions to stabilize the economy and address financial challenges facing the country.

According to Attaullah Tarar, steps have been taken over the past two years to achieve economic stability, and briefing social media influencers on the budget was necessary to ensure accurate communication of government policies to the public.

He added that measures have been taken to curb corruption across various sectors, and tax collection has improved, including billions of rupees recovered from the sugar sector.

The Information Minister further stated that individuals earning less than Rs 50,000 have been exempted from tax, while only 1% tax has been imposed on income up to Rs 100,000.

Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani said the budget provides relief for industrialists, exporters, women, and youth. He added that significant funds have been allocated for the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and agricultural loans.

He further said that the government is working toward sustainable economic stability, expanding the tax net while also facilitating the business community.
