Gilgit (Pakistan News) Thirty out of 33 newly elected members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly have taken oath.
The oath-taking ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Nazir Ahmad Advocate, who administered the oath to the newly elected members.
Among those who took oath were 13 members from the Pakistan Peoples Party, 9 from Pakistan Muslim League (N), 6 from the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, and one member from the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, while a PTI-backed independent member also took oath.
The session was later adjourned until 3 PM. In the next session, the election process for the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Leader of the House will be completed.
It is worth noting that results of some constituencies have been withheld due to court orders, as a result of which 3 elected members have not yet taken oath.
