Islamabad (Commerce Desk): A possible decrease in petroleum product prices in Pakistan is being reported.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to issue a brief video statement before departing for Zurich. During this time, he is also expected to chair an important meeting regarding petroleum prices.
Sources say that the government is considering a reduction in petrol and diesel prices in the next phase, and an official announcement is expected soon.
Following these reports, a change in consumer behavior has been observed at fuel stations across the country. According to petrol pump staff, the number of customers has decreased compared to the previous day as people are purchasing fuel in limited quantities.
Staff members added that a large number of citizens are buying petrol and diesel only for two days of use, expecting a significant price reduction in the coming days.
