California (Web Desk): Apple has introduced a feature in the camera of the new iPhone 18 Pro aimed at addressing the growing number of images generated or altered using artificial intelligence.
According to the company, through “Apple Reference Image,” users will be able to save an unedited and verifiable version of a photo taken with the iPhone camera.
This feature will allow photographers to prove that the scene shown in an image was actually present in front of the camera.
Apple says that artificial intelligence has made it easier to alter images and create fake scenes, making the reliability of visual content available on the internet an important issue.
According to the company, the new feature will provide an additional means of verifying the authenticity of images, while tools such as “Cleanup” available on the iPhone also allow users to remove or modify objects in photos.
