NEW YORK (Web Desk) – Apple users around the world are eagerly awaiting the iPhone 18 series, but ahead of its launch, CEO Tim Cook has indicated a possible increase in prices.
According to foreign media reports, there are still around three months left before the release of the iPhone 18 series. However, due to rising production costs—especially the continuous increase in the prices of memory chips—the new devices are expected to become more expensive.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Tim Cook said that Apple has so far tried to avoid passing additional costs on to consumers, but the current economic situation is making it increasingly difficult to maintain this approach.
He clarified that it has not yet been decided which products will see price increases, but technology experts believe the iPhone 18 series is most likely to be affected.
Reports suggest that the prices of the new models could be around $200 higher compared to the iPhone 17 series, while the cost of components used in the iPhone 18 Pro is also expected to rise significantly.
Experts say that with the growing use of artificial intelligence, global demand for memory and storage chips has increased sharply, putting additional pressure on the supply chain.
According to technology analysts, if this trend continues, the iPhone 18 series could attract global attention not only for its new features but also for its higher price.
