Islamabad (Pakistan News) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attempted drone attack on the holy site in Makkah, calling the act highly reprehensible.
In a statement on the social media platform X, the prime minister said the Pakistani people were deeply saddened and concerned over this provocative act. He said the shock and grief caused by this unforgivable act could not be expressed in words.
He paid tribute to the Saudi Royal Armed Forces for their timely action, exceptional vigilance, courage and professional capabilities.
Shehbaz Sharif urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint, saying that the only sustainable path to achieving peace is through negotiations and diplomacy.
The prime minister said Pakistan has always stood shoulder to shoulder with brotherly Saudi Arabia in protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the sanctity and security of the Two Holy Mosques, which every Pakistani considers a sacred duty.
