Shehbaz Vows to Continue KP Development and Public Welfare Efforts

Islamabad (Pakistan News) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the federal government will continue its efforts for the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the welfare of its people.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House, where they held detailed discussions on the overall political situation in the province, law and order, and matters of mutual interest.

Shehbaz Sharif said the federal government would continue working for the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the betterment of its people. The meeting also emphasized increasing cooperation between the federation and the province and taking further measures to resolve public issues.

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam and Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, who briefed him on advance measures to deal with recent monsoon rains and possible flooding.

The prime minister directed that all available resources be utilized to provide maximum assistance and relief to citizens in rain-affected areas. He also directed relevant departments to improve coordination to maintain traffic flow on connecting roads and bridges and ensure the timely delivery of relief supplies.

In view of heavy rainfall and the possibility of flooding, Shehbaz Sharif directed all relevant institutions across the country to remain fully prepared.
