Washington (Commerce Desk) — The price of diesel in the United States has crossed an all-time high, rising above $6.20 per gallon.
Global crude oil prices continue to fluctuate, with no decline seen so far. Brent crude reached $108 per barrel.
US crude oil was trading at $103 per barrel, while UAE Murban crude was being sold at $119 per barrel.
New prices for petroleum products in Pakistan are expected to be announced tonight.
Meanwhile, citizens in Syria took to the streets to protest against the government’s decision to increase diesel and petrol prices. Demonstrators vandalized property and also set tires on fire.
The Syrian government had increased the price of diesel by 40 percent and petrol by 28 percent.
