Lahore (Showbiz Desk) All theatres in Punjab will remain closed from 1st to 13th of Muharram-ul-Haram, and a formal notification has been issued by the Punjab Arts Council.
According to the notification, no stage drama or cultural program will be held during this period in respect of Muharram-ul-Haram, and all theatres have been instructed to ensure full compliance with the restriction.
Meanwhile, security arrangements for Youm-e-Ashura across the country are being finalized.
Provincial governments and district administrations are reviewing detailed routes of processions and gatherings, while law enforcement agencies are being instructed to deploy additional personnel at sensitive locations.
During Muharram-ul-Haram, relevant authorities will implement emergency plans to maintain peace and order so that mourners can be provided with a peaceful and secure environment.
