Inter Miami defeated Cruz Azul 2-0 to win the Campeones Cup title for the first time.
In the match against Cruz Azul, Lionel Messi scored one goal for Inter Miami and also provided an assist for the second goal.
In the 24th minute of the match, Messi completed his 100th goal for Inter Miami, becoming the first player in the club’s history to reach this milestone.
Mexican teams had won the previous three editions of the Campeones Cup, but this time Inter Miami defeated Cruz Azul to lift the trophy.
