Lahore (Sports Desk) Former Pakistan cricket captain Mohammad Yousuf has started training young players by beginning coaching sessions at an academy, where he is teaching children the basics of batting.
While training children from different age groups, Mohammad Yousuf introduced them to key batting principles and techniques.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that working with children brings him joy and he values the process of learning from one another. According to him, a strong foundation in a player’s game is essential for long-term success.
Mohammad Yousuf added that if a player’s basic training is strong, they can perform better across all three formats of cricket, as seen in today’s top batters.
The former captain noted that in modern short-format cricket, the trend of batting has increased significantly, with high scores becoming common, leading young players to increasingly adopt aggressive batting styles.
