Lahore (Sports Desk) After the conclusion of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, Pakistani youngster Abdul Rehman has won the Poligras Magic Skill Award through voting by hockey fans around the world.
Abdul Rehman displayed outstanding three-dimensional skills during the match against Wales, controlling the ball in the air and beating four defenders from the opposing team before scoring a beautiful goal.
His spectacular goal received widespread appreciation from hockey fans globally. As a result, Abdul Rehman secured first place with 44 percent of the votes, while Kanton Melville finished second with 39 percent.
For the award presented by global FIH supplier Polytan, six of the best moments from around the world were shortlisted, including three from men’s competitions and three from women’s competitions. Global voting continued from September 4 to 13.
In the women’s category, Indian goalkeeper Bichu Devi Kharibam won after receiving 52 percent of the votes.
Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani congratulated Abdul Rehman on achieving the global honor and expressed hope that his success would inspire young hockey players across the country.
