The matter came under further discussion when Shayea Gill released a new acoustic version of her song “Insecurity” on the occasion of its first anniversary. Considering the timing of the post, some fans interpreted it as an indirect message directed at Hania Aamir. Rejecting these speculations, Shayea Gill said that she did not intend to mock anyone and that she does not hate anyone. She clarified that her first solo song was released last September, so she released an acoustic version this September simply to celebrate its first anniversary. The singer said how could celebrating a song’s anniversary be considered a taunt directed at anyone? She said that she cannot respond to every comment and provide her explanation, and that fans can interpret it however they wish. Shayea Gill’s new acoustic version was also praised by several artists and social media personalities, including Aima Baig, Abdul Hannan and Anwar-ul-Khalid.
