Beijing (Beijing) – China has achieved a significant milestone in space exploration by successfully landing a reusable rocket back on Earth for the first time.
According to the news agency, China successfully launched the Long March-10B carrier rocket from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in the southern province of Hainan.
Chinese authorities said that this is the first time a first stage of a carrier rocket has completed a fully controlled return successfully.
According to the report, about six minutes after the separation of the rocket’s booster and upper stage, the booster began its controlled vertical descent toward Earth and successfully landed on an offshore platform located in the sea.
